"Historic Motorsports Productions LLC
(HMP) is a business partnership
dedicated to staging premium vintage racing
events and related lifestyle
experiences at
premiere North American venues. "
"Our
philosophy and approach is simple: Retain all that is good about
contemporary vintage racing events and enhance them by making them
dramatically more enjoyable for fans and participants alike. For the
public this translates to events that are imaginative and well-presented.
For participants, an elevation of this beloved sport through a markedly
higher level of customer service. These difference-makers include
minimizing inconveniences, increasing on-track time and maintaining an
environment that is equally comfortable and stylish."
"Based in
Zionsville, Indiana, HMP's principal owners are avid vintage racers and
businessmen Zak Brown,
Bobby Rahal and
Peter Stoneberg." |

Where do Vintage and Historic Race Cars Race?
(just click on
the logos below to find out) |
|
Sebring
International
Raceway "is one
of the oldest constantly used tracks in the country, set on the unused
runways and support roads for the airport. The first races were in the
early 1950s with the famed 12 Hours of Sebring sports car race." It's the
perfect place to start off our racing season every March after a long
winter of deprivation!

The World Center of Racing |
|

(Formerly
Moroso Motorsports
Park) - located on 200 acres of wooded property in NW Palm
Beach County. The facility
is one of the few racetracks open year-round
with a variety of racing
venues."
|
|

VIRginia
International Raceway
-
"fun, fast and world class."
Extraordinary effort has gone into making this one of the premiere racetracks in the country.
Take a lap
around the course in

"Mosport International Raceway is a multi-track facility located
north of Bowmanville, Ontario.
Mosport features a 2.5 mile,
10 turn road course; a
half-mile, paved oval;
a 1 km kart track
and the 1.5 mile Mosport Driver
Development Centre." |

Le
Circuit
in
Quebec
"is a
much sought-after destination
for car lovers because of the proximity
of
four-star accommodations, gourmet
cuisine,
the majestic beauty of the
Laurentians, and of course
the
extraordinary
track."
|
|

"Set in Eastern Wisconsin within reach of Milwaukee
and Chicago, this breathtaking road course has been the
scene of Can-Am, IMSA, Sportscar, Grand-Am, CART, SCCA and Vintage race outings since its inception.
Roughly 4 miles in length,
it is
the longest race circuit in North America, and
one of the most challenging."
|

"America's most competitive road course and Ohio's motorsports
destination." |
|
"The Monterey Peninsula's love affair with world-class racing traces its
beginning to 1950 and the inaugural running of the Pebble Beach Road
Races. Those sports car events through the winding roads of the Del Monte
Forest became immensely popular and brought prestige, fans and money to
the area. But as the cars got faster and the crowds grew larger, it was
decided that the race was too big for the open road. Rather than see the
event go elsewhere, a group of civic-minded
business leaders decided to
build a permanent, world-class racing facility."
|
|
Road
Atlanta's
"2.54-mile Grand Prix road course
features 12 challenging turns,
including the famous 'esses' and the
tricky Turn 10 complex. The hilly
terrain adds an additional
degree of difficulty for the competitors, and
at the same time providing incredible views for the spectators."
|
|
Watkins Glen
International
"is
one of the most historic and demanding tracks in North America, located
amidst the rolling hills of the beautiful Finger Lakes region of upstate
New York." The track is an all-time favorite among vintage racers, who
turn out in record
numbers every September for the Vintage Grand Prix."
|
Summit Point
-
"a challenging 10-turn, two-mile asphalt road racing circuit
set in the pastoral Shenandoah Valley, only 70 miles from the Washington,
DC metropolitan area.
The course combines slow and fast bends, with a 3,000 ft straightaway and
considerable vertical relief -- one of the most challenging circuits
in the nation."
|
|
"In
1968, a twisting 12-turn, 2.52-mile road course and a quarter-mile drag
strip were carved into the picturesque rolling hills at the gateway to the
Sonoma Wine Country. Since that time, race fans from around the world
have
been treated to some of the greatest racing
highlights of all time on this
unique race track."
|
|
"In its third decade as one of the foremost events

vintage and historic racing, a remarkable Elite Concours and special exhibits,
demonstrations and
functions that make eachday an extraordinary experience." |

BeaveRun
MotorSports ComPlex,

region's premier destination for car, motorcycle and kart enthusiasts,
with over 400 acres of world-class facilities, including three race
tracks."
|
|
Pocono
Raceway
"has long been recognized as one of the most competitive speedways.
Pocono's unique 2.5-mile track features three turns, each with its own
degree of banking. This combination produces fender-to-fender action
in the turns and 200 mph slingshots
on the long straights with photo finishes."
|
|
"On over
700 acres, conveniently located to Philadelphia, New York and Washington
DC, New Jersey Motorsports Park (NJMP) offers an incredible amount of

courses (Thunderbolt and Lightning); an exclusive motorsports country club
known as the Drivers Club; unique trackside Villa homes, and a first class
karting facility where anyone can experience the
thrill of motorsports
behind the wheel for the first time."

Check out Burt Levy's books!
Toly's Ghost by Burt Levy
Toly's Ghost is
the long-awaited fourth novel in author/racer Burt "B.S." Levy's
celebrated, cult-classic The Last Open Road series, following the
further lives, loves, dreams, disappointments, adventures and
misadventures of narrator/hero Buddy Palumbo and the rest of the motor-mad
gang from Finzio's Sinclair.
As with Levy's other novels, it is the characters as much as the cars that
drive the action, all set against the backdrop of a blissfully less
politcally correct America of the late-1950s and early-1960s that seems
almost unfathomable today. Levy mixes Palumbo's wry, infectious and
streetwise sense of humor and winking observations of human nature with
carefully researched historical accuracy and a rare, insider's
understanding of the world of cars and motor sports.
"In addition to his novels 'The
Last Open Road' and 'Montezuma's
Ferrari,' Burt Levy writes the 'Pure BS' column
that runs in Vintage Motorsport, and is a regular contributor to a number
of other magazines. For the uninitiated, Levy comes from the old school of
die-hard racing nuts who like their cars to be as fast as somebody else
can afford to make them, their on-track battles fought hard but fair,
and
their beer cold."
